VIDEO

As social media gathered pace, video became the 'new' thing that everybody wanted. From attention-grabbing social shorts to long-format OOH campaigns, video has remained an integral part of my skillset. Often offered alongside stills and, in some cases, content creator assets too, below is a small selection of case studies and reels which highlight some of the video work I've enjoyed producing. From concept to final output, shooting, lighting, audio.

Whitbread

Restaurant and cocktail chain, Bar & Block were looking to elevate the quality of their media work. This started by initially improving commitment-heavy workflow, mood-boarding new ideas, tuition for junior team members to upskill and a new approach to media production.

This approach proved so successful that the scope of a rival studio was reduced and the client went on to sign a multi-million pound retainer with the agency.

WHITBREAD

Restaurant chain Whitbread (owners of Premier Inn, Brewers Fayre, Beefeater and Bar & Block) were looking to elevate the their media work due to previous quality and consistency issues, struggling to differentiate their independent brands with a cohesive level of aesthetic and identity.

This started by initially improving commitment-heavy workflow, mood-boarding new ideas, tuition for junior team members to upskill and a new approach to media production. With a mix of stills, video and content creation, new art direction separating out their brands clearly and a huge upscale in the things they were looking for, here's what they had to say:

NEXT

With no prior warning or time to prepare, video became an urgent operational requirement for the creative social teams at Next and at the time, it was a capability we didn't have.

 

With only stills equipment, we shot the initial concepts that eventually led to Next having it's own successful, dedicated video-production department. This initially started with stop-motion production and led to conventional video once we started to evolve the processes, equipment, skill-sets and infrastructure that was in place.

TOAST

Brief:

Toast beer are about to launch an Aldi-collaboration with an exclusive product sold only in their supermarket. Need production of two premium assets to be used on social media. Product USP is that it is made from recycled bread, so we'd like the videos to showcase that.

Premium but authentic, home set.

PACT COFFEE

Brief:

To celebrate the 12th birthday of Pact Coffee, we need an attention grabbing reel to post on the day. Creative brief is open but budget is very limited.
